Western States Public Radio had a number of accomplishments in FY10:
Sent the President of WSPR to all NPR board meetings to make sure
the interests of the western public radio stations were represented.
The President then reported discussions of significance to all WSPR
members.
Worked to develop a new relationship with National Public Radio
concerning the branding of public radio in the web, focusing on how audiences
use NPR and station web pages.
In cooperation with the other public radio regional organizations,
presented the 2010 PRRO Award to Mike Riksen, NPR’s
Vice President for Policy and Representation, for his policy
development, advocacy, and community engagement plans for the public radio
system.
Maintained the WSPR Listserv for members to talk with each other.
Posted an NPR candidate Q&A on the WSPR web site for the 2008
NPR Board elections, and currently is preparing a similar presentation for the
2009 elections.
Maintained the WSPR web site to share information.
