Western State Public Radio Board of Directors
Conference Call
October 27, 2008

In attendance: Jon Schwartz, Karen Holp, Paul Stankavich, John Hess and Beth Warren.

Meeting was called to order by Paul at 10:00 A.M. MDT.

I. WSPR survey:  As of 10/27 we have received 12 responses from WSPR stations.

II. Seattle Conference Update:  Total expenses for the Seattle conference is projected to be about $20,000. Total registration as of 10/27 is 60 registrants with 44 paid so far.  The anticipated income from the conference is $20,010 dollars committed to date.

Paul urged all board members to contact those individuals scheduled to speak at the conference to make sure that they will be in attendance.

III. WSPR board nomination: We have two seats on the board that are up for nomination.  WSPR Treasurer, Karen Holp has agreed to run again, she is running unopposed. For the At-Large seat, (held by Beth Warren) Lynn Clendenon at OPB and Tom Mara at KEXP have agreed to run.

VI. WSPR Retirements:  The board discussed the upcoming retirements of several GM’s who are WSPR members.  The board agreed that a resolution will be drafted honoring those who will be retiring in the next year.
